Operating on the site of Mount Carmel RC First School since 1995, we are fortunate to have an excellent relationship with the school and it is our aim to make the transition from Pre-School to First School as calm and stress free as possible.

We offer sessional day care with an option of full days for those going to First School the following September. Our sessions run from 8:45am until 11:45am and 12:00pm until 3:00pm and a full day is 8:45am until 3:00pm.

At Mount Carmel Pre-School we have an extensive planning programme that ensures that all children have the opportunity to experience the complete range of curriculum activities on offer, even if they only attend two sessions per week.

Our curriculum includes introducing the letters of the alphabet with their phonic sounds and also numerals. We have topic work and celebrate a wealth of multi-cultural festivals and faiths.

All staff at Mount Carmel Pre-School work closely with other professionals and agencies including Early Years Childcare and Information service, the local colleges and of course teaching staff at the First School. We undertake regular training to keep up to date with all new developments in childcare.
